ChatGPT integration lets you access its expertise without needing to jump between apps. With the Compose feature in Writing Tools, you can generate text from scratch and create images in a variety of styles.

On iPhone and iPad, Genmoji lets you create an emoji of pretty much anything, just by writing a description. All your Genmoji sync to your Mac, so you can add them anywhere you would use emoji, like in a message, as a sticker, or in a Tapback. (Generation on Mac will become available in a software update in the coming months.)

Powered by Apple Intelligence, Writing Tools help you find just the right word virtually everywhere you write on Mac. They’re available systemwide across all kinds of apps, ready to refine, proofread, and summarize.

To access them, select any text, Control-click or right-click, and choose Writing Tools in the menu that appears. (You can also click the Apple Intelligence icon that appears to the left of the selected text.) Here are a few apps where Writing Tools can help spot slipups and fine-tune your tone.

With Image Playground, you can create fun, playful images right within your apps or in the dedicated app. Make new images from suggested concepts, written descriptions, and people from your Photos library.

Share your unique images in message threads with friends, or use them in other places, like presentations, documents, and more.

Apple Intelligence is available now as a free software update with macOS Sequoia 15.2, iOS 18.2, and iPadOS 18.2, and it can be accessed in most regions around the world when the device and Siri language are set to localized English for Australia, Canada, Ireland, New Zealand, South Africa, the United Kingdom, or the United States.
