The post-apocalyptic wasteland of Fallout Shelter is teeming with radroaches, super-mutants, and worse. As overseer of an underground vault, can you keep your people safe and sound?
Of course you can—with a few tricks up your jumpsuit sleeve! Those deathclaws won’t stand a chance.

Create child champions
Legendary children start out with elevated stats, but your chances of spawning one of these wunderkinds is slim. To boost the odds, max out the parents’ own stats, and give the mom-to-be a pet with a Child Special bonus (like the Australian shepherd). With a little luck, you’ll breed a powerful prodigy.
Make durable dwellers
Want your vault dwellers to shrug off radscorpion stings and alien blaster fire? Raise your level 1 dwellers’ endurance stat to 10 by having them train in Fitness rooms, then equip them with your highest-rated wasteland gear before they start gaining levels. The sturdier they become, the longer they’ll survive!

Speed through objectives
One of the easiest ways to score caps, lunch boxes, and season-pass badges is by completing in-game objectives—and some have sneaky shortcuts. Need to send a certain number of dwellers into the wasteland? Dispatch—and immediately recall—the same dweller over and over. Have to make several settlers dance? Put a high-charisma couple together, let them boogie a bit, drag them to separate rooms, and repeat!
Roast those raiders
The Dragon’s Maw plasma rifle is the most powerful weapon in the game. Explore the wasteland until you find the blueprint and enough junk to build one, then staff your leveled-up Weapon workshop with high-strength dwellers to increase crafting speed. Time to roar!
What happens in New Vegas...
Experimental vaults expire when a season ends, along with all the power, water, and caps stored inside them, so don’t spend weeks building a perfectly efficient experimental vault. Instead, focus on completing challenges, ranking up your season pass, and unlocking items that’ll remain with your main vault forever, like that sweet Super Sledge.
