How it plays
Hot Lava is a first-person parkour game, which means you’ll have to eyeball your jumps while navigating treacherous obstacles. Depending on the level—a house, a playground, gym class—you’ll hop across trash bins, benches, shelves, tables, shipping crates, and more as you race for a spot on the leaderboard.
Why we love it
It’s just an awesome idea for a game, executed brilliantly. Hot Lava revels in playful tricks, like dotting each level with tiny footholds that turn into major shortcuts. And the Saturday-morning cartoon theme—complete with one of the coolest intro videos in any game ever—is spot-on.
