Update: I’ve updated my rating to a very appropriate 5. Ok, the 1 star rating is just to get you to read the review (I will come back and upgrade the rating). I just bought this and can easily see myself getting hooked on it. I originally bought this because it was a reasonable price and didn’t use a subscription model. I HATE SUBSCRIPTION MODELS. This game is a cross between Pong and Breakout and Pinball and beyond in VR. The videos don’t give an accurate demonstration of the game play but once you start using it, you pick it up very quickly. VERY FUN !!!
This app could be great, but it has a few flaws to keep me from giving it five stars. The biggest issue is that the sound mostly comes from the left ear. Aside from that, some dialogues are just outside the field of view and some textures look low res.Edit: Thanks for the reply, and it’s nice to know that the audio thing is out of your control. The 90’s were indeed a wild time and this app tugs hard on the nostalgia!
The positional audio issue is due to a bug in fully immersive titles built with Unity. We’ll update the game once a fix is released. As for the dialogue, the main story takes pacing queues from a Sega CD game called Sol Feace. The early 90s were a trip :)Back to the audio, I really hope it’s fixed soon. The sound is half the experience for me.
I had a lot of fun playing through the first 10 or so stages. I’m hoping the developer will fix the sound issue and implement better anti-aliasing or increase the resolution. I know it is a retro themed game but I find the the aliasing a bit distracting. I also like the head control and hope if they add hand control they will leave the option of keeping the head control. I will update my review to 5 stars if these things are fixed / implemented. I definitely recommend it even in its current state and find it to be the most fun game on the AppStore at this point.
The sound issues have been fixed with 1.1 :D
This game is what I imagined virtual reality games would be like back in the 90s. The computer effects, the techno music, the simplistic gameplay. It’s a lot of fun. And Really lets you feel the virtual space. My only real complaint is that it forces an upright posture. I usually use the Vision Pro while lying in bed. Looking up at the ceiling. But this applicationMy only real complaint is that it forces an upright posture. I usually use the Vision Pro while lying in bed. Looking up at the ceiling. But this application pretty much requires you to sit up right
Wanna build some neck muscles? Because this is essentially the Wii game of VR but for your neck. I personally recommend using the double strap and attaching the Vision Pro battery to the back strap of the headset with some cushioning to have a counter weight setup going on to balance out the front heaviness of the Vision Pro. Asides from the weight issue, I really liked the game overall from the references to the sounds and music.
This needs hand tracking instead of head tracking. If they make that change, this could be the top game on the vision pro easily.Update: after playing more and switching to the over the head vision pro strap the head movement makes a lot more sense. I’m not sure how the game would play with hand movements controlling the tile. This game is a lot of fun!
This game is amazing! Would it be possible to also have the option of hand tracking for controlling the square? Thank you!
I like the vibe, though the opening text constantly uses it's instead of its which grinds my gears a bit. It really needs hand control and eye tracking though. You have to aim your head at everything at the moment which isn't the worst but it doesn't take advantage of the Vision Pro's capabilities.
Also, I hope there is an option to use hand tracking to control the square
This was my absolute favorite oculus dev kit one game and I’m so thrilled to be able to play it now on the Apple Vision Pro zero transform is an absolute legend. This game is a must play.
