An Absolute Pleasure to Use!
Look Everybody
I started with Pixelmator Classic, mainly because it provided a great alternative to Photoshop. In practice, I found it daunting to use. I then went over to Affinity apps, which are incredibly powerful tools, and you only pay their price once. Although Affinity is absolutely fantastic and completely maximized for Apple Silicon, it sometimes can hold you back speed wise, because it has so many features available to you at once. I don't know what made me revisit Pixelmator Pro, but I'm glad I did. I can't believe how easy it is to use.....and very fast. I feel like the workflow is so much more fluid. And not only that, it has vector graphics capability as well. It's so easy to switch back and forth between work environments. And Pixelmator Pro integrates into Apple Photos, Final Cut Pro, and Motion so easily. Also, the machine learning in the app is absolutely insane and surprisingly accurate. I can't believe I ignored this app for so many years. It is an absolute pleasure to use....it basically gets all the technical stuff out the way, and now I can focus on experimenting, developing and finalizing ideas quickly. The Pixelmator team has the magic sauce and it can only get better from here. This is my testimony.

Inexcusable Lack of Noise Reduction
CarlosBeltran
After reading the reviews, I thought this was at least a "prosumer" grade editing app and a decent replacement for Lightroom (which I have soured on) in my workflow). I tried the auto photo enhancement for kicks (it was the worst I have seen/used), then set about to create my default workspace. As confusing as it is that the basic adjustments like exposure, contrast, curves, levels, etc. - which should be front and center - were buried under "color adjustments" (?), at least they were present - which cannot be said for one of the most basic, essential features of any photo editor: noise reduction. I have no interest in gimicky "light leak" filters/presets and the ability to put star stickers on my photos for snapchat. If the developers want to throw those features in, that's fine, but not having noise reduction is a non-starter, and the word "Pro" has no business being anywhere near this app.I was excited about this app, and it was the one that made me finally make the jump to Mojave (I had held off becsuse sevral of my longtime "go-to” apps are not supported). Unfortunately, it's unusable for me in it's current state. Of course, nobody forced me to buy it and it doesn't claim to have noise reduction in the description... but it also doesn't claim to have exposure adjustments or contrast or shadows and highlights. Why? For the same reasons car ads don't say they come with steering wheels. It's just expected, as should noise reduction be in a "Pro" app.

As tough as a review that is, it's not entirely unfair — as you said, we don't claim to have noise removal, but it's a great feature to have. It's definitely been on our minds recently and we'll do our best to find a way to include it in upcoming updates.
Definitly The Best Editing App
saeed rahbari
After extensive search, I've come to the conclusion that this is the best app for photo and graphic editing on Mac. The controls are intuitive, the design follows Apple design rules (it's the same as apps like Pages and Numbers), it's fun to use and has lots of cool animations, it can be used to edit photos, vectors, graphics and painting, there is an extensive list of templates to choose from, just by playing around with the controls you can come up with great designs, it works with Final Cut and Motion, you can easily export in PSD when needed, And it's a one time payment. So do yourself a favor and buy the application. Believe me, the price is fair. It was a lot for me and at first I wanted to wait for a discount. But I just wanted to support the developers. Awesome Job!!! The only thing that bugs me is the support for RTL language. There is no problem with texts. But when I add strokes to an Arabic text, it shows lines between the letters that are attached. Is there a possibility for this to be fixed in future updates? I would really appreciate it. I also have two more ideas: 1. bevel and emboss 2. hiding all other layers by clicking on a layer. Thanks a lot. I'll be eagerly waiting for your response.

Crazy Good. And Here's Why...
Corey Ketring
Quick Version:This app is crazy good. I almost added a caveat, and titled this review as "crazy good for this price", but that's not a fair caveat. This app is crazy good. Period. I haven't found a single other app that can do what Pixelmator Pro can do with illustration AND photography. The cherry on top, so to speak, is the user-friendliness of the app. It's very easy to use, and learn. Here's Why...I'm just a graduate student who uses the app to create more engaging materials to use during clinical speech-language therapy activities, and it fulfills this purpose amazingly well. However, I've spent over 400 hours (who's counting though, right?!?!) learning about illustration and photo-editing, and Pixelmator is the best software for putting what's on my head into realization as a finished product. Again, illustration and photography are things I enjoy doing to supplement my work as a speech-language pathologist. I'm not a professional by any means. But let's say I want to target "bilabial plosives" (fancy speech-language pathologist way of saying "b" and "p" sounds) in a speech-sounds intervention plan. I take a picture of a soccer ball with my phone. Then I use Pixelmator to make it purple with pink . Now, it's a "purple ball with pink balloons", and in one image I have four opportunities to target a bilabial plosive. Now, I have to do this 100 more times to have enough materials for the sessions I want to do in a month. Pixelmator lets me do this efficiently, and lets me personalize my therapy materials for every patient I see. That personlization is really magical. That sounds cheesy, but there's no other way to describe it. Thanks Pixelmator!
This update contains bug fixes and performance improvements.
