Bugs fixed. As close to perfection as I have seen in an app.

I wrote a review of the visionOS version of this app back in March. At the time, I said that the app is a dear favorite of mine on other Apple platforms and I saw the potential in this but there were a few key issues that stopped me from using it constantly… Since then, things have dramatically improved. Seemingly weekly a new update pops up in the App Store for this app with an EXTENSIVE change log. Every bug that I found in March have been addressed. The small ones that I find are addressed almost as soon as I find them. The clean interface, the scalability in my space is everything I ever dreamed of for program management. Keep up the great work, Fantastical team. I will be happily keeping my yearly subscription on auto-renew. 🗓️🧡

Widgets not refreshing
greenwaterfountain
This is a good alternative to Apple’s Calendar which still doesn’t have a native visionOS calendar. But the Widget seems to be broken. It doesn’t refresh, even after a whole day. It should be able to refresh even for new events. Also Widget -> Settings -> Calendar Set gives error: “(_INExtensionContextError-Domain error 1002.)”. For the price being charged, this should simply work!

We are sorry for the trouble! This will be fixed in our next update, and if you would like to contact our team at flexibits.com/contact they can make sure you are notified as soon as that is available.
See the potential, but too unfinished and buggy to use

Fantastical is great on my Mac, iPad, and iPhone – but it’s clear they’ve rushed out the AVP and it’s still riddled with bugs, lacking polish, and not yet usable for real calendaring. There are text fields that have clearly been ported from iPad and not yet styled for the AVP UI, the app sometimes just starts making continual UI clicking noises for no obvious reason, has locked up on me a half dozen times, and even crashed my entire AVP twice. I really want to like and use this app, but until it’s more finished I’ll be going back to Apple’s stock Calendar iPad app for my AVP.
