It couldn’t have been easy to follow up the immensely popular Subway Surfers with a fresh twist on the endless runner. But Sybo Games nailed it with Blades of Brim, which sends your hero in shining armor dashing through a colorful, charming fantasy world. As you clobber foes without breaking stride, wall-run through epic combos, and roast baddies from the back of a dragon, you won’t be able to keep the delighted grin off your face.

I never written a review before, but please update this game with new content. I played this game when I was a kid many many years ago, and recently got back into it. I’ve been obsessed with the gameplay and the grinding system. I just finished chapter 3 again, and was sad to see there wasn’t anymore. There’s so much potential in this game and I hope you guys see it too! Please update it! Pretttttyyyyy pleaseeeee!!! 😿

  • New chapters, and bug

    Starwizard846

I love the game I’ve been playing Blades of brim on and off for at least four years. It’s been a while since you’ve made the chapters (at least three years) it would be great to have more chapters. The first three were really fun. And the more chapters it has we will be able to destroy the evil king. Just saying It’s an idea. Also there's a bug where I can't turn the music and sound off.

  • Great Game, But Sadly, it Needs Updates.

    Strangerfromanotherland

Hello Sybo developers,Around two years ago, I wrote an impulsive, not thought out review of this game because of one thing I did not like. Even so, I enjoy this game and how it is much more fun and engaging than Subway Surfers. I love how you can grind to get characters, pets, and more while still having fun. Even though this is a great game overall, it has come to my attention that this game has not added any new updates in a significant time period. I (and many others) would like this game to get new chapters, weapons, and pets at least. Many people find this annoying that the developers simply ignored the game. I understand you have your financial reasons for not updating this, but please actually consider my review. Don’t get me wrong, I love this game and all it’s aspects, and it is one of my favorites. Have a nice day!I also request not to get a copy and pasted response, If I get one at all.ThiswasnotmadeorassistedbyAI. 🥸

Everything about this game is great. From the art style, the music, to the game mechanics. The game has the typical runner game base, but with a nice twist that makes it unique. The chests in which you get items are found pretty frequently and it's nice to see that they're not only acquired through the shop, or being extremely rare. There are no intrusive ads at all which is a relief. Completely understand that this a free game and devs need to make money, but it's very refreshing to not have to close an ad at the start up of the game and after every run. The cash shop is your typical cash shop, but like Subway Surfers, the game doesn't revolve around it. Let's hope it stays this way for a while at least. (No ads and chests being common) Love the game, and I will probably purchase things from the cash shop. To support the devs and the game.I have run into a few bugs, but for me they haven't been extremely game breaking or made me not want to play. It's going to happen with any new game, and shouldn't stop you from trying out the game. One being the map disappearing and falling into nothing. Others have described what may be causing it. Another being the "smite" (?) touch thing, doesn't seem to work sometimes. Kind of like its lagging behind and only hits two enemies and I've already passed them. The game may need to be a little more optimized. Quest notifications popping up seem to lag the game a bit. But, I do have an S4, so my phone could be part of the reason for the lag.

  • Great game! but…

This is my go to time waster, it’s pretty simple and the games don’t last too long. The weapons are pretty varied with a ton of different ways to play. I love the slight strategy of armor combinations, it’s just enough to take a little thought, but it’s not something you’re gonna be spending too much time on until you start collecting several different pieces for one character. It’s super generous with currency too , all chest types are available for gold and orbs are everywhere. Overall this is a really fun game and something I’ll happily put a little while into every day. I do have a couple of critiques though, the first being that different heroes feel kind of useless, I love the concept just not the execution. First of all the rarities don’t really mean anything aside from the score bonus, but there’s nothing about any of them that is truly unique to that hero, which makes collecting them lose the sense of achievement it should have. My suggestion would be to give each hero a unique upgradeable skill that costs orbs to upgrade, something to sink them into after you’ve already collected most of the gear. My other suggestion would be that equipping all armor pieces from the same set grants another skill, something that could be on a weapon. Adding both of these would add an extra layer of strategy that would definitely motivate me spend some more time on the game trying out different armor sets, heroes and simply playing to upgrade gear. And finally please please please add new worlds and levels, that’s the best part!

  • Fun idea, frustrating execution

You know that old cliche about sports fans yelling at the TV whenever the referee makes a call they don’t like? Well, get ready to do a lot of that if you download this game.Blades of Brim is Sybo’s attempt to mix an endless runner game, a genre they’ve already become famous for with Subway Surfers, with elements of a dungeon crawler, complete with enchanted weapons and faceless ogres. The idea is appealing and the gameplay is fun. But the real problem is that they can’t seamlessly combine the dodging obstacles with the combat aspect. For example, in the game you’ll see a thug to your left and swipe that direction to kill it. Easy enough, until you realize that particular thug was standing in front of a bottomless pit. You couldn’t have known because the thug was completely blocking it. You don’t have time to dodge it; you fall in and die instantly. That’s how about half of your games will end. What’s more, the swords can offer some interesting and sometimes kind of helpful passives, but they don’t really do anything game-changing or useful. They’re mostly just aesthetic.Honestly, the game would be ten times better if there were an occasional life-up power up to help alleviate the damage and make taking damage from enemies less dangerous so players can pay more attention to the bottomless pits. But until then, there are better endless runners on the market.
