I love puzzle games with storylines. but also don’t have a lot of time to devote 1-3 hours each day on a game just to get past 1 puzzle. This game is a perfect mix of beautiful animation, different worlds, characters & storyline, music & sounds, and especially clever puzzles that get increasingly harder as you advance (but not so hard that you have to look up a strategy guide). It’s one of the best games I’ve ever played, and especially well designed for the phone and for people who just want something to fun and engaging to play for a little bit each day.
This game is incredible! It really defied my expectations. What I thought would be a simple dime-a-dozen bejeweled-esque puzzle game has blossomed into a game with heart, gorgeous art, ingenious puzzles and an intriguing story. The scale of this game is deceptively large- I always think it’s close to being over but a new chapter begins, and it’s full to the brim with new mechanics everywhere. A specific detail I loved was during the canyon chapter, when ground tiles would disappear to simulate unstable terrain. The way you guys tie the mechanics of the game into the actual gameplay is really cool. Keep it up!
Hey whitehair250! Thanks a lot for the incredible review. We're glad the game exceeded your expectations and that you enjoyed the art, puzzles, and story. Your detailed feedback is much appreciated. Hope you keep having fun!
I absolutely love this game and I want so bad for them to make more things like this. It was so fun. It took about a week for me to finish and complete 100%. My favorite part was that there was no timed things that I had to get done at a certain time. And I could always go back in the game to finish things. This game was literally perfect and had such a cute little story with such cute characters and such a wonderful art style. And it’s so good. I wish I could literally tell all my friends about it(I already told 5 of them).
I first saw this game from the Wholesome Games Direct, and was pleasantly surprised it made its way to iOS! The limited controls make the phone a great platform for the game, and it's really fun. None of the puzzles are too hard so that you can't progress, but some of them do make you think. Fun story and some great puzzles. If you don't like slidey block puzzles, don't worry, the only traditional slidey block puzzles are optional secrets. New mechanics are introduced constantly which makes it continually feel fresh. Definitely recommend!
Hi zaq12wsx456, and thank you for your wonderful detailed review! We're delighted that you're liking the game. Hope you continue having fun playing!
The game is enjoyable, but while "exploring the wilderness" shortly after finishing the first/intro town, my game crashed. Upon reloading, I discovered that the path forward was soft locked by an immovable stump and a sapling. Due to the position they were left it when I slipped by them the first time, I could no longer move without the two into one another the second time. Therefore I can no longer progress forward. While the gameplay is an interesting concept, being unable to move forward (and so early in the game) is a rather sizable mark against it.
About halfway through the game I saved my game, reloaded, and my save file was corrupted, making the game unplayable. I couldn’t see my character or move or do anything, and the camera was stuck in the corner of the screen. But then they fixed it! Thank you for fixing it!
Hey gibsnson! We're sorry you had trouble with your save file but we're glad to hear it’s now fixed! Thanks for sticking with the game, and we hope you enjoy the rest of your journey!
