  • Exactly what I needed! Thank you for making this app!

I’ve tried to make something similar with various notes apps but they always got overly complicated ultimately became distracting. I tried doing something similar with reminders but that made me anxious and overwhelmed looking at my to do list. I am very minimalistic about what apps I’ll download. This came up randomly in a web search and it’s exactly what was missing from my system of managing thoughts and ideas. I am so relieved that the UI is so beautiful and exactly my aesthetic. Clean, feels like a native app and has useful non-distracting widgets. I am diagnosed with ADHD and OCD, and too much and too little are a struggle for me. This is exactly right. The neutral grey white and black. So much better than Apple’s ugly notes widgets. Thank you to this dev! I immediately got the pro plan and it’s literally the only app I am paying a subscription for. Please keep it alive as long as possible!

  • Great inspirational tool

    iOSBliss

What I love about this app is that whenever the developer releases something it’s usually some kind of exciting new feature. Appreciate having the watch app a few updates back and now the new notification system. A few other features I thought would be cool for a future update …Would be nice if we had a quick access complication on the watch app and display the first few lines of a thought in a larger complication. The ability to add a thought quickly from the iPhone app icon contextual menu. A simple commenting system for thoughts/inspirations/quotes that would allow us to reflect or expand on them over time or to add some additional notes about the thought. Basically like a date-stamped comment on social media, but private. A little splash of color theme choices for the UI and app icon would be icing on the cake. Other than that I’d just like to have the option to see the full creation/editing time for each thought, rather than just the day. But that’s the nerd in me, wanting to see those little details. Thanks for all the work. Look forward to each new update.

  • What I’ve Wanted for Ages

    OyPescado

I’ve been looking to find an app just like this for some time, so much so, that I had resorted to trying to create a far less elegant version in my note taking app with very little way of surfacing the information once it was input. The app is designed specifically to make the surfacing of the items in your collections take front and center while not getting lost in the forest of what you’ve collected. It does help you categorize by providing a useful amount of organizational tools with tags and collections. I can’t wait to see how this app refines with time. I’d request a tip jar option, if you don’t mind.

  • The Perfect Quote Manager

    inakams

Thoughts is a sleek and minimalist quote manager that provides all of the functionality you are looking for to organize your favorite quotes, aphorisms, proverbs, etc., as well as your own thoughts. It is simple and intuitive without the clutter of many other quote apps available. The user interface and functionality closely resemble what a quotes app created by Apple may look like, so it will fit right in on your device. Just on its first day, I have already upgraded to a Pro Lifetime subscription and the app has found its way to my iPhone’s Home Screen. Highly recommended!

  • Onboarding is a bit rough

    Captain DDL

The app looks great, but there were some issues I ran into while onboarding that could be improved. 1. I wish there had been more quotes to choose from. I found two that resonated with me, but I had to pick a third or just skip the step completely to continue. 2. After completing the quote selection, you are dropped out into the feed which shows you the quotes you selected. Once you scroll down, it says “Enough for now”, with an indication you can see more quotes by updating your settings. I reviewed my settings and the feed is set to show 7, so really there was nothing else for me to see on the feed tab. Perhaps direct me to Discover instead?3. A minor issue, but when reviewing the collection documentation, I pressed on an image and swiped it away after I was finished. Unfortunately this closed the documentation completely, not just the image. I’ll keep using the app and will update my review if I have any other findings. Thanks!

  • Only works one way

    Besodium

Thoughts is a reliable app for storing quotes, ideas, and other material you come across, but unfortunately, that’s where its usefulness ends. While it’s great for inputting information, there’s no easy way to extract it when you need it. The lack of shortcut support for retrieving information makes it frustrating to integrate into a daily workflow—having to manually open the app just to retrieve a note feels inefficient. If the developer added automation or export options, it could be a powerful tool. As it stands, it’s too limited for my needs, so I’ll be looking elsewhere.
