I LOVE this game, it only took me 39 minutes but in reality I enjoyed playing it. I love the art and music!! I also appreciate being able to know what the character felt and understanding the need to respond back to a sound with the same harmony. There wasn’t much information on their background but it’s perfect the way it is! Letting us think what happened or what will happen next leaves me with a lot of curiosity. But overall, it was a very cute game and I totally would recommend it!

  • Perfection.

For new people playing this game, don’t listen to the negative reviews. Yes, it might be short but the gameplay is absolutely beautiful and calming. And yes, there may be some other things but that doesn’t mean the gameplay is necessarily bad, it just means that there are things to work on. Overall, this game is very fun as a puzzle game. And the art style is really cute :]

  • Super Cute!!

This game was great! I was really immersed in the storyline and the graphics are so beautiful. Game play is smooth and the tasks are fulfilling to achieve. The last day threw me for a loop but all in all it took me about twenty five minutes to finish the game. Was super relaxing and will probably play it over again when I want to chill 🫶🏼

  • Nice, calming, charming, but needs..more ideas🤍

    Mice :>

This game need more ideas! But hey I don’t hate it or really like it. Is just… mysterious. Like, what about the guy and the other living on the island? Did the other guy died? And that’s why there’s a gravestone? Did the girl find a boat and left? And what about the stones with X’s on them? Yeah the music and art is BEAUTIFUL but so many questions. It gave me an idea to make a book that a girl and her little brother got lost in an abandoned island! But PLS make chapter 2 or part 2 pls!

  • Adorable, Calming Game — Needs A Sequel

I never write reviews. Literally never. But one day App Store reviewed Resonance of the Ocean and it looked fun, so I decided to download it. I’m glad I did.It has an undertone of mystery with the echoing sounds and the notes left in the house, but is at the same time a peaceful and leisurely puzzle game. It doesn’t take long to play—I’ve finished it over seven times and each round only takes about ten minutes at most. The animation is beautiful and the music is as well. It’s exactly what you look for in a game—quiet but challenging, difficult at times but not frustrating. It’s simple, cute, and comes from a small indie studio. I love it, and give it five stars all the way. Now for a little dose of constructive criticism. The notes inside the house and the whole concept of sounds echoing beyond the ocean warrants a sequel. Resonance of the Ocean is fine on its own, but the story could deepen and have tons of potential if the studio made a second game expanding on the notes. Perhaps the main character could find something back home connecting to the island? They then could return and try to uncover the secrets of the resonance. All in all, a wonderful little game for anyone needing some downtime. Music is wonderful, sound is beautiful, animation is the sweetest thing since blueberry scones. These are all just suggestions for the studio if Pujia8 Limited ever wants to make a Resonance of the Ocean sequel—or prequel. Just saying! Thanks for reading, and have fun playing! 😁

  • Cute game, lots of potential…

I had fun playing, but I found myself wishing there was more to discover. The note in the house was hinting to more storyline… so it was a bit disappointing to get to the credits shortly after finding it. The art is beautiful, the soundtrack is amazing, the concept is great. I just think there could be more to the game than there is, like more levels, or being able to store items in some kind of cute base, maybe meeting whatever is making the other sounds. I think it would be cool if that was the objective, to find this person using what you learn along the way, like pieces in a puzzle. The house was a little tricky to walk through because some of the furniture wouldn’t let you go through, I thought I was stuck near the picture frame at one point. But overall, I still enjoyed it, worth playing even if it’s quite simple. I get you may be trying to be appealing to children but it might be too much trial and error for them.
