Sharpen problem-solving skills in a few minutes each day with Lumosity’s personalised challenges. They adapt to keep you challenged as you strengthen key abilities, helping you stay motivated for the long run.
I underwent chemotherapy, radiation, a spinal fusion surgery all in the last five years and my brain felt like I had aged 30 years. Short-term memory was terrible. I started practicing this game several times a day and now I rank in the top 1% in my age group in the world I guess for all the people that play this game so the improvement was phenomenal. My brain is better now in all areas than it was before I had all the illnesses and I’m 81 years old.
Most games are that…just games. But the thing is when doing a Lumosity game you feel like you’ve been in a training mode mentally! I’m not saying you’re breaking a sweat, but…depending on the game & level maybe a little bit! You feel a little of that ‘good’ (motivating) stress as you try to beat the time clock, score board, or whatever before it ends - it’s fun, & exciting! Play & you’ll see why so many people use it as part of their daily brain habit!😊👍🏼
I’ve found the more I use Lumosity the better my brain works. With a family history of Alzheimer’s and now years of “playing” Lumosity, I find myself almost regretting the times where I take a break - because life happens - it’s like going back to the gym, the muscles get weak. I know it works and doesn’t take long to play each day. Better for you than doom scrolling and I actually enjoy the games and feel good afterwards.
Lumosity has games with a wide variety of interests to challenge the different parts of your brain; whether it be math, words, language, multifocus, or whatever. I like that I can do a workout chosen by the app or play games that I choose depending on my mood for the day. If I want to see, it keeps stats on all my playing and even gives me suggestions on how to improve. It is well worth the annual fee!
I’ve been a Lumosity member since 2013. My doctor recommended it after I survived encephalitis, and needed to relearn just about everything. Although my family was told that I might never be able to work again, within 5 months, I was back at work. I worked another 9 yrs and was promoted twice more before retiring in 2022. Lumosity is as important as coffee to start my day right!
After four years everyday I just stopped. Felt done but paid for the experience. I’m 73 and not positive it helped my general focus, memory, or other spacial skills . Hated the math . Especially the goofy one, circus vibe . If you introduced more unique games I might join again . Tim TibbitsI’m 76 now, don’t play everyday. Felt too obsessive. Now I do as I feel, usually 2-4 times a week. Might be a nicer pace . Look forward to it more.Tim Tibbits
