I used to use this with iTunes. Tried to use it today with Apple Music on the latest app versions/macOS version… no luck, even following all the Home Sharing instructions on the Apple help page, until finally I closed Apple Music and re-opened it. Magically the option to connect finally appeared. The help docs could use an update.

  • Star Rating Bug Still Exists But Remote Avoids the Music App Downfall to Like/Dislike

Great app, however there has been a bug for a really long time where the Star Rating element becomes inactive and unavailable after using it once or twice. This requires the app to be restarted to once again become active.

  • Must-have app for my home

    LYAppleUser

I play all of my huge digital music collection thru iTunes - from my PC, way upstairs - on our full-house Bose Speakers. This app allows me to access my collection on any of my several iPads or my iPhone from anywhere in our home. (Used to work on my Apple Watch, too. Wish they’d bring that back!!) I can sit out on my patio & play DJ, adding new songs, as I wish. Or just let my favorite, carefully-curated playlists (smart or otherwise) play in shuffle. Press pause if the phone rings, or whatever. I use it all the time to look up a song to see if I own it. (You lose track after 15K songs!) Love viewing each album cover, while a song is playing, too. So cool!!

  • Crucial Classic

This app is old, rarely updated, and could certainly benefit from new features and enhancements. However, it works fine as is. I use it every day and would be very upset if it was discontinued.I use it to control the music that plays throughout my home on multiple AirPlay speakers simultaneously. My music is stored locally on my Mac that’s on all the time. Music plays from the Music app on the Mac, which AirPlays to all my speakers. Then I control the music and the volume of each speaker with this app from my iPhone. This is better than sending it directly to the speakers from my phone because I can walk out of Wi-Fi range without the music stopping. It also saves my phone battery.Even though it hasn’t had any meaningful updates in a long time and could use a lot of improvements, I’m giving it 5 stars because I find it so useful. Maybe Apple will be less likely to discontinue it if it has good reviews. Please do not discontinue this app and please do continue to update it so it continues to work with new versions of iOS and macOS.

  • Bugs with macOS 26.1

    ripp3ifyy

I’ve been loving this app for a long time, never had any issues before. However, after I updated my macOS to the latest version, 26.1, I started having problems.Whenever I try to adjust the timestamp; it always just jumps to the beginning, even tho I am only adjusting 10 seconds in the middle of a movie or a song. Also, whenever I want to play a song within an album, the rest of the tracks aren’t added to the Up Next.I hope these issues get resolved cause I really love using this app to control my libraries without needing to touch my computer.

  • Good but could be better - like everything except love

It’s really nice to have connection to my laptop where I play music through my speakers and throw on my headphones or just don’t want to get out of bed bc I’m so depressed. I wish I could pin albums, search Apple Music in addition to my library. Also I love the genius shuffle feature. Usually ready reads the vibe nicely. Eq would be cool. Thanks
