Just started playing a couple days ago, this game teaches us how to understand each peace and its position on the board. They also go through various techniques and tactics to understand how the king is placed in check. I haven’t played a real game I’ve been focused on learning the game .I hope they teach us more skill techniques and strategies-perhaps even style. I’ve only completed 3 stages of their teachings. They have plethora of lessons to play and learn from.

  • I love it!😻

This game is so fun!!! I love playing chess against my brother and dad, and I love the tips and stuff this app gives me. It’s so nice, because me and my bro can play chess on our iPads and it’s online, which is super cool. But I have a question: can u change ur character so that is can be different, like a queen or a knight or something? If u can, plz tell me but if u can’t, then can u add that feature? Peace out,✨PBandJ_gurl✨🍞🪼🥜

The opposing king disappears when your king is put in check, so you have to guess or remember where it was. Also frequently, if you even momentarily navigate away during a game for two seconds to quickly check the time or weather, when you come back the app punishes you by falsely claiming you have a bad connection, and forfeits the game. Annoying!

  • Much Better Than

If you’re not a master and just want to enjoy chess and get better at your own pace, this is the one to download.Honestly, I didn’t expect to like this more than the famous chess app, but I do. It just feels smoother, easier to use, and way more fun. You actually learn while playing instead of just getting crushed by stronger players all the time. The game gives helpful hints, cool rewards, and little goals that keep you improving without feeling stressed. The animations and design are clean too — it feels more like a game you want to open every day.

  • Latest version broken

    Daveed V.

Generally speaking this is a fun app, but the latest release (accessed through Apple Arcade) appears to be severely broken: It tends to freeze within minutes. The freeze is apparently not 100% because when I try to eg uncover some chests, nothing happens but after killing the app and restarting it some of the chests are uncovered and the uncover timer has restarted.

  • Chess is already a game

If I could disable the cartoons, loot boxes, and fake currencies, I'd actually like this app. The beginner bot games are schizophrenic. If I play as well as I can, the bot beats me effortlessly and toys with me (I'm a beginner). If I play as stupidly as I can, the bot plays even worse, giving me a free rook after a free queen. There's no consistency for a single "level 2" game. I'd like an option to have less feedback in multi-step puzzles: let me move pieces experimentally on the board myself, and let me disable confirmation that my first move is correct. It's hard to think enough moves ahead and track board state, so I need to move pieces, but I don't want to basically be handed the answer, which is what the confirmation does.
