Beautifully designed and powerful to use, Flighty is a first-class flight tracker for those on the move. The app offers detailed flight maps, live tracking, and delay forecasting — but the real magic is the perfectly timed notifications that keep you up to date and stress-free.

  • A Virtual Passport of Flights

Normally I never purchase subscriptions, especially in the settings of apps. However, as an avid aviation geek, I am thrilled to have come across this app. I have been able to coalesce all my flights together into this virtual platform. Some of the most salient features for me is the image of each aircraft for each of your flights and the information tied to each aircraft. I only hope that the developers can take it from here and add in more customizable features. One thing that I hope can be fixed is the ability to have all the image of the planes painted in that airlines livery. I have some flights added from a few years back that show up as blank/white aircraft. One other feature I hope to see in the future is the ability to map out your flights per airline or specifically out of a single airport. Again, I will continue to use this app religiously and can’t wait to see more out of it.UPDATE: Would love to have the ability to add in the date of the first flight for each aircraft. I don’t see that ability. Would love to see some new updates with new features in the near future.

  • Fantastic flight tracker, but tone down the pro ads please

    sal0c0r

This flight tracker knows more about flights than the flight attendants. I've actually asked flight attendants of flight cancellations or delays and have them tell me "nah you're still good. no flights have been cancelled" only for them to announce it an hour later. Very impressive. With that said the upsell for the premium is a bit much. I don't mind you trying to ask me if I want to purchase premium and laying out the features every now and then, but on the mac app it prompts you around every 10 minutes *even if the app is in the background*. This is EXTREMELY annoying as the icon will bounce on the taskbar until you open the app and close the message. Then repeat every 10 minutes or so. In addition the widget on the iOS lockscreen sometimes shows your flight and sometimes shows "get pro" instead. I get it, you want me to buy pro but replacing basic functionality inconsistantly is very annoying.

  • Has saved me on two flights so far, worth every penny

This is the second time this app has helped me avoid airport catastrophes - Flighty gives me 5-20 minutes’ advance-notice (and easy-alternative-flight-search) so I can be early-in-line to reschedule flights & dodge delays.Full story:My flight was scheduled for ~11am, and around 11:10am, they told us “it’s going to be awhile, feel free to get off the plane to stretch your legs - there’s something wrong with the coffee machine”. I pulled up Flighty, and it was showing a delay until about 12:15pm. Then, a few minutes later, an alert that saved my day - Flighty warned me that there was another delay, this time to 12:45pm. I tapped the 🛟 button, found an alternative boarding @ 12:30pm, grabbed my bags, and made my way towards the door. As I was about to get off the plane, they announced that actually something was wrong with the engines, and everybody was going to have to deplane so they could do some tests. Because Flighty had notified me a few minutes earlier, I was first-in-line to get rebooked, had time to grab lunch and make my way towards the other flight. The original flight landed some 2 hours after I was already at my destination. So much stress/hassle/delay avoided!

  • Not That Useful

    The App Chap

I paid for the Flightly app for a single month and it just wasn't useful. During that time, I took 8 flights, and the info provided wasn't anything I couldnt get within the airlines own app.Recently I took an Iceland Air flight. As the gate agents announced they were beginning boarding, the airlines own app went off with a notification to let me kow such. 20 minutes later, when I was already seated on the plane, the Flightly app notified me of such. Really not useful at that point. The visuals and flight tracking are pretty but they're not updated as frequently as needed. On a flight to Minneapolis on Delta, the app never updated to show the 15 minute late takeoff or the fact that we were landing 7 minute early. We'd arrived at the gate and Flightly was still showing we hadn't landed yet (I had wifi access throughout the flight). The Delta app was correctly updated for the delay and early landing. It's a bit silly to enter your boarding pass number and seat number into the app, when that info is all contained in the airlines own app, which you likely already have, as you need it for your digital boarding pass. The lock screen data is nice, but again, it's not updated in real-time, so it's not that useful. While the Flightly app looked cool at first, it really fell flat when it came to providing real-time information that's useful. Glad I didn't do the one year subscription and I won't be renewing my monthly subscription, as the app just isn't that useful.

  • My Favorite Travel App

    ZacYoung97

I have used this app for almost 2 years now and it has been exceptional in giving airline, airport, and airplane information. We often found that delays, cancellations, and gate changes actually come through the app significantly sooner than most airline apps update to notify you. I love being able to see a log of all my previous flights and having my friends and family add their flights which are fun to track too. I highly recommend investing in one of their subscriptions. My family purchased it after my business presentation of it before our big Europe trip last summer that saw us travel seven countries. It was critically important in keeping us organized, updated, and all of our flight info in one place.

  • Flighty, the best app for flight tracking

    was this written with chatgpt?

I've been using the Flighty app for a few months now, and I must say, it has revolutionized the way I manage my travel plans. As someone who frequently flies for business, keeping track of flight schedules and potential delays has always been a challenge. Flighty provides real-time updates and notifications that keep me informed from the moment I book my flight until I land at my destination. One of the standout features of Flighty is its lightning-fast notifications. It often alerts me to gate changes, delays, and cancellations faster than the airline’s own app or airport displays. This swift notification system has saved me on multiple occasions, allowing me to reroute or make alternate plans with minimal stress. The app’s interface is sleek and intuitive, making it easy to navigate even for less tech-savvy users. I appreciate the clean layout, which presents essential information like flight status, gate numbers, and weather conditions without overwhelming me with unnecessary details. Additionally, the ability to view historical flight data and trends is a neat feature, giving insights into typical delays or patterns that can help me plan future travels. Another impressive aspect of Flighty is its integration with Apple devices. The app syncs seamlessly with my calendar, ensuring all my flight details are automatically updated. It also supports Apple Watch, allowing for quick glances at my wrist to check on flight status without pulling out my phone. Really a lifesaver! If I had to point out one downside, it would be the premium subscription cost. While the free version offers a decent range of features, the true power of Flighty shines through the premium plan, which can be a bit pricey. However, given the peace of mind and convenience it offers, I find it to be a worthwhile investment, especially for frequent travelers. Overall, Flighty is an exceptional flight tracker app that’s become an indispensable tool in my travel toolkit. Whether you’re a frequent flyer or just looking for an app to keep your travel plans organized, Flighty is definitely worth considering.

  • Great Travel Companion & Tracker

    A-List Flier Kris

I average 40-60 flights a year and I originally began using Flighty a couple of years ago as a means to log all of my flights. I quickly adopted it as a tool to stay updated on flight information prior to and during travel days. It offers a ton of acuurate information regarding acft info and gate info during travel. I will often get a flighty alert ahead of notification from the airline's app. The in route flight tracker you can display on your phone while in flight is really nice and convenient as well. The only note of caution is if you have all travel day alerts set on and use an apple watch, it does consume a lot of battery power throughout the day, compared to a normal days usage but thats a tradeoff I can live with.

  • Great resource for active fliers

    Fun while it l@sts

Pulling data directly from the FAA resources in real-time makes Flightly current and relevant, many times before the airlines' apps. Knowing of potential issues on inbound flights allows me to make early decisions on my itinerary. Adding in the automatic retrieval of flight data, all the cool reporting and logging functions makes Flightly a must for me. Now I can even track friends' or colleague's flight even while I'm flying due to connectivity through the plane's WiFi. Any issues or questions were always handled quickly and thoroughly by Flightly's staff. They even kept track of some suggestions I made 5 months ago and, when a number of them had been implemented, the CEO emailed to thank me for the ideas. Nice touch.Highly recommend.

  • Hardly a hiccup for a frequent flyer

    Shad Narcher

I fly about 3-4 times a month, and Flighty has helped simplify the routine. All I do is forward my flight confirmation email to my Flighty email addy, and the app takes over from there. The flight is sent to my calendar, and entered into the app. Many times, I am aware of delays before my airline’s app says so, and the ability to track the flights of my associates is also excellent when we need to meet up. I always check Flighty’s alternatives for delays before changing a flight. Nothing worse than changing to what you think is an earlier flight from LAX only to find out it’s delayed later than your original. Flighty is so useful, I just sprung for the lifetime sub because I will use it forever.

we run a transportation business and i cannot appreciate this app (and the desktop widget) enough! cant count how many times it's saved us from looking like amateurs. I always have our drivers monitoring the flights for our customers, but they're not always the brightest nor the most attentive... so I input the customers' incoming flights and then i'm able to get up to the minute info, at a glance. It's especially great when I am super busy - because i will get banner and popup notifications for updates as they happen. It's saved me a lot of headaches and I recommend this app to anyone who deals frequently with inbound or outgoing flights. A must have for dispatchers and transportation coordinators.

  • Fantastic App, More Integrations

    SPG11

The app itself is fantastic and does everything it's supposed to very well. The only thing I wish it was capable of, which is likely an airline issue, would be to have an integration with the actual airlines. Manually forwarding emails or adding events to calendars to it can be imported is nice, but feels cumbersome. I wish there were a better way to handle it. Future Flighty should consider replacing services like Navan / Concur / Amex GBT. These services can't even get the booking process right, let alone all of the flight information and tracking that Flighty provides. I'd love to be able to have my team book through timely and be able to track all of their travel through this platform.

  • Visually beautiful, data quality sometimes lags

    LuckysClub

Flighty is visually beautiful. It has some interesting features, although the personal historical flight record is ruined for me since they only introduced the ability to distinguish between your own and others flights years after my account was too polluted with other flights I had tracked. The biggest thing holding back my rating is that quite frequently Flighty's flight dara is less accurate and less up-to-date than other apps. Whenever I email their support team about inaccuracies, I receive a generic response that "We are aware of some data problems and we're working on it." I suggest checking out whether Flighty meets your needs and comparing to other services before spending on this pricy subscription that may not deliver for you.
