  • What went wrong?

    I used to love this app. But with new updates it gets worse. It used to be very simple concept and I loved it. You start your first lesson and follow the path. Now it’s very confusing. You have your ‘Continue Learning’ next to ‘Your Daily Plan’. Right after you have Course library with bunch of the lessons. Then you have ‘Your study path’ ‘Course collection’ and bunch of the lessons again. I forgot to mention ‘My course’ all the way at the top. Since you are using AI can it be just a ‘Day Plan’. You open an app once a day and you get your assignments for the day. After you done come back tomorrow. Now it’s very confusing. Do I go to my Day plan or Study path? Maybe have another menu with course library when you can pick a lesson if you want to. Maybe let AI make a plan for the day. Speaking section is horrible. I fail every time. Literally every time. How hard it is to say ‘My name is Anna’? I use BoldVoice to improve my accent. Oh boy that app is picky. But I practice and I able to complete assignment for the day. While I still can’t pass ‘My name is Anna’ at EF Hello. Another thing is a Roleplay. Concept is great but it’s not connected to your English level. You take a first lesson when they teach you how to say ‘Hi’ and at the end of the lesson they want you to say ‘Hi. My name is Alex. I live in LA. On my free time I love to travel and I love to read.’ And all you learn is ‘Hi. How are you?’ Talking about AI. It’s great to get a feedback on your Roleplay. But to get a letter from AI just when you selected a right answer? I spent more time reading AI responses after each question than learning. It used to be one of the best app on the market. Make it user friendly and simple to understand.

    Love the method and content so far. Was, however, disappointed that they charged me immediately rather than at the end of the 7 day free introductory period, which left a bad taste. Good thing I like it otherwise would have angrily asked for a refund, but as I said, it left a bad feeling nevertheless. In response to developer: I did not use different Apple ID’s; I only have one. Sounds like an issue between Apple and the developer that needs ro be resolved so that it does not happen again? I do appreciate your responding, however.

    I’m amazed by how well the app works but more importantly, you guys have been updating the material. Please keep adding more content. One of the struggles I had with the School (English Live) was the fact that I couldn’t purchase a subscription to use only the platform for practice, you are force to get live classes which I don’t need. This app comes handy for improving my vocabulary and grammar. Did I asked please keep adding more content? Yep, keep adding…

  • Almost promising

    The app seemed to have good promise, but falls short when trying to speak. I consistently have to repeat each sentence over and over and over. I thought maybe it was me, but other language apps hear just fine….even better. I would not have purchased this app, but I didn’t cancel before the trial period. I’ll use it for listening and general knowledge, but am usually frustrated after a session. There is a lot of content, though. I would give this 2.5 stars because of the feeling of only getting half of its value. Maybe it’ll get better in time…

    First Spanish language thing I have ever heard of in my life and it is easy for me and I am only nine years old and I was when I did speak Spanish especially when I was little because I’ve always wanted to speak Spanish so that whenever I go to bless me with the Spanish, I am a really like Like to speak Spanish and I know these words: the stress Quattro Singh associate, it want to know whether ideas.

  • Clunky interactions and meaningless quizzes

    I often have to click “okay” 2-3 times consecutively confirming the same information when completing a lesson. The quizzes are very easy to guess the right answer. Unfortunately, the information in the quizzes itself is not often explained in a helpful way. The lessons honestly don’t really teach much at all about the etymology of a word or why something is the way it is. If they do it is at a surface level and always entirely in English. The quizzes are more memorization and recognition than understanding. I think this app could be a lot better. I’ve been using it pretty consistently, but may start looking for alternatives. Would not say it is worth paying for.
