The concept is terrific but the app will hopefully get even better As often the case with complex apps, navigation can be an issue. With an app designed to read the printed word, I would have thought the developers might recognize that people with impaired vision might be logical target users and so would make the navigation prompts highly legible and not left to tiny small printed buttons. But overall, the concept is so good that I must highly recommend it.

I’ll be honest, I thought this app was a scam at first. I couldn’t figure out where to take a picture of my book cover so read to me, but once I found it… Wow. Just wow. I snapped a picture, hit “ read out loud,” and suddenly my story was being rude to me. Now I can multitask like never before. I’m cooking, doing computer work, working out, and I’m even writing this review, all while listening to my book. It’s been a total game changer. I love this app so much.

I’ve been using speechify for a few years now and it has completely changed my reading life — personally & academically. I recommend it to everyone ALL THE TIME. As I’m reading more now, I’ve found a rhythm of choosing voices according to the book/story. And WE NEED MORE BLACK VOICES! ♥️ when I read Black stories from Black authors with Black characters, it’s not really complete without a good Black voice! I’d love to see more options come for us. Otherwise this app is perfect 🌹

So I wait to the very last day to do an assignment of read a book today on way to the very last day to read a book that’s 100 pages and I use this app to help me read it and I thought those was 100 page book was going to be three hours but I’m gonna add beautifully helped me get my hundred page book done and under an hour and 30 thank you for making this app.

I was so excited to get this app, I even paid for the premium version right from the get go. I have had it several months but can’t seem to get it to work as there doesn’t seem to be any instructions as how to work the program. I have tried to scan several books but they aren’t in your library yet. These are not new books, but not old ones either. Also can I use my Nook books with this app. Again I can’t seem to locate the instructions or requirements.

I love this app. I have a hard time retaining info when I read and this app fixes that so thank you. I scan my books in chapters. If I could move files around in the folders that would be great. For example, chapter 1 is at the bottom of the list in the folder. I’d like to click and drag it to the top of the list. Also it would be cool if I could put a picture for the folder. So the folder is the front of the book. Then I open it to all the chapters I scanned in order.
