We couldn’t wait to go back to the land of twisty towers and uncanny beauty—and this sequel didn’t let us down. With its striking colors and level design, it’s even more stunning than the first game. New elements like light beams and controlling two characters make the puzzles even trickier. The bond between that mother and child is what we’ll remember most, though—their relationship moved us in a way few games do.

  • Reminds me of back when life had such beautiful moments

Now it is no longer home, life is not the place for humanity any longer, a story of one’s desire for death and their resistance to it. Back before the unending dark, hearts like these were true. And for that, there is no story of redemption to be found among one’s existence as of now, and forevermore the destined for frivolous experiences, cast aside to the darkness to rot… until they too die among all of us, as we do too, all thinking the same thing “I’m alone”

  • Puzzle Enthusiasts Will LOVE

If you love out of the box thinking puzzles you will absolutely love this game. It’s a brain twister outside of logic thinking, having to look at the picture from different perspectives. I hope the developers keep making more like these because it’s an incredible game.

  • Loved the first one and this one absolutely outdid it

For whatever reason I missed that this game had two sequels! I just beat this one in a single evening and man... visually stunning, bits of poetry to ponder, cool set pieces and new mechanics, a gorgeous and genuinely moving soundtrack by Todd Baker (his musical sound design work is amazing, he worked on Tearaway, Dreams and LBP), and the puzzles felt fresh and intuitive with just enough difficulty to give me pause and make me feel smart and satisfied with the solution but not enough to frustrate me to take me out of the game (I'm too stupid for Baba is You lol). Anyway fantastic game I would easily pay $15 just for the experience even though it's a short iOS game. Please use headphones!!!

  • The beauty of this game

    God is all around you

I think it’s nice to have a game like this the first and second are very good even though I haven’t got through a second one. This one also reminds me of my sister and me very much it might teach people some lessons and help them get through life. I think it’s a really good game. It’s nice. It has peaceful music and just it’s nice to calm down with the screen and if you do, I would recommend this game. it’s very nice peaceful and it’s like you have grace and God and Jesus is all around you so I really think this is a really good game.

  • Beautiful Game made for Young Kids

My personal rating is a 3/5 stars, but I can’t in good conscience rate such a beautifully created game backed by a hardworking developer team with such amazing art and music that horribly officially. If you want a good experience I recommend either only playing Monument Valley the Original or playing this one first before playing the original. It might give you a few aha! moments and this game will ease you into the first one. Monument Valley 2 is to me a almost entirely remodeled game aimed at kids, with only slight references to the 1st game. It is so unbelievably easy I can solve most puzzles with little to no thinking and the story is so (much more) straightforward and obvious compared to the first game. The game was so unbelievably easy and the levels were so short or streamlined that I found the whole thing a little irritating. The graphics are also a lot simpler than the original one, which had huge complicated structures and beautiful backgrounds. This one has solid colors as the background, with skinny camels for structures for your character to walk on. Although it is understandable though because too much on the screen to focus on may confuse younger audiences, it is frustrating to go through. All in all a very simple game, the first one took a considerable amount of time to complete, as for this one, I spent about an hour and a half, mainly limited because of the time it takes to walk through the puzzles. Taking time to think took significantly less time than walking everywhere.

  • I can't even take it all in

I can't explain how fascinated I am at the overall design of this game. A true masterpiece. The visuals were so amazing. One moment you're in a dark, gloomy atmosphere, and then you enter the door and appear in a new, bright environment with a different lighting and vibrant colors and it all just looks beautiful. These transitions I find to be so amazing. Games don't have to be consistent with the mood and feeling the player gets while playing, variety like this is what makes the game unique. Another thing is the sound, I'm a huge enthusiast on sound. Beautiful sounds aren't always music, the simple sound effects of the turning of cranks and stairs is also important and this game does an amazing job at showing it. What I did especially impress me is how the turning of cranks and spinning of platforms have a certain depth of sound to them. The faster you move the object, the faster, louder, and more detailed the sound effects and music sound is also breathtaking. But what really impressed me the most is how at the end of the level, you create your own little symbol to place on the platform and in the frame of the level in the level selection to signify completion, and tha game takes your random gibberish twists and swirls, and processes it to create a moving, animated piece of art. How you could program a game to do that is simply remarkable. I overall LOVED this game and I hope this isn't the last game like this you guys make. Keep up the good work, because there are many people that appreciate the work you guys put into these games as much as I do.
