Local Code combines an inference engine optimized for Apple Silicon, with up to 2× faster prompt processing in our tests, carefully tuned quantization, and harnesses designed for each supported model. Our featured model is DeepSeek 4.1 Flash 0910, with 552 billion parameters. Using our quantized variant, it runs locally on a Mac with just 64 GiB of unified memory. We also support DeepSeek 4 Flash 0731, a 284-billion-parameter model that runs on the same hardware, and Qwen 3.8 27B, with a 2-bit quantized variant that runs on Macs with as little as 16 GiB of unified memory. # A runtime that comes with the app Local Code packages Python, Node.js, a Bash-compatible shell, and developer tools so you can get to work without setting up a separate development environment.
