Launch announcement
Sponsored Services: Capture demand now
September 29, 2026
What launched?
Sponsored Services is a new performance advertising solution for local and online service providers — such as plumbers, electricians, landscapers, restaurants, and beauty salons — to connect with Amazon customers and drive service outcomes like quote requests, calls, and food ordering. These ads appear when a customer purchases or searches for an item that is relevant to an offered service i.e. a plumber recommendation appearing after a faucet is purchased. The solution uses AI-driven intent detection to serve contextually relevant ads at high-consideration moments across Amazon properties, and features an in-ad conversational flow that qualifies customer intent and completes tasks without the customer leaving Amazon.

Home Services and PipeDream Plumbing & Drain — each with "Call" and "Quote" buttons, continuing through the quote request and confirmation flow.)

Alexa+ Conversational – Sponsored restaurant result (Screenshot showing an Amazon Echo Show device displaying an Alexa+ response to a user query "Help me order some Italian food for dinner" with three restaurant options including sponsored Sofia's Kitchen listing.)

Alexa+ Conversational – Food ordering (Screenshot showing the Echo Show with Sofia's Kitchen ordering interface, menu items, and checkout button.)

Why is it important?
When customers purchase products that require professional help or talk to Alexa+ about a need — like a kitchen faucet or ceiling fan — they often leave Amazon to search for a service provider elsewhere. Sponsored Services captures this demand at the exact moment it's created, connecting service providers with customers who have a defined need and are ready to act. The in-ad conversational experience pre-qualifies outcomes with product and search context and auto-populated customer details, helping eliminate the friction between customer interest and business connection.
Key benefits:
- Connect with customers at high-intent moments across Amazon properties
- Receive pre-qualified leads with auto-populated customer details
- Use CPO (Cost Per Outcome) bidding for outcome-based performance
- Track return on investment with clear metrics including cost per outcome, outcome rate, and conversion by outcome type
