I do not see anything not good or dishonest in not being interested reproducing some mediocre uninteresting result of some fellow researcher if one believes one can find interesting and relevant results oneself instead. I'd prefer scientists to rather try to be productive than to demonstrate that some pointless work is indeed pointless. The interesting stuff will ultimately be checked. | |
