The PatentsView team found an isolated error in its data disambiguation process affecting only the Q1 2025 disambiguated assignee granted and pre-grant data. This issue is connected to a recent code change in our data pipeline process. The affected disambiguated assignee granted and pre-grant data appears in data downloads, PatentSearch API, and data visualizations.
PatentsView Ends Support for Legacy API
May 01, 2025
PatentsView has discontinued support for the Legacy API as of May 1, 2025. Any requests made to api.patentsview.org will result in a 410 gone client error response. Originally scheduled for discontinuation in February, support for the Legacy API continued to give additional time to users while they transitioned to the new PatentSearch API.
