    That's exactly what I do, too. However, once you hit submit the 5-minute clock starts ticking, so your short answer only gets as good as you can make it in 5 minutes. Commented Sep 11, 2008 at 14:13

    Hmm, it doesn't do a good job moving posts between stackoverflow.com and meta, you lose the edit history and it doesn't preserve inter-question links. Commented Dec 14, 2009 at 20:21
  • I answer a lot from my mobile device. This does not allow for a lot of citing or code examples. I often will have to revisit the answer once I get to a pc so I can elaborate or cite sources. Commented May 24, 2012 at 17:33
