  • Do you have a favorite contribution that someone else added? What is it? Why do you like it?

This one How do I use installed packages in PyCharm?

There are 2 reasons why I like this question:

  1. I love using Python libraries/packages in PyCharm so the entire concept is beautiful.
  2. I close at least one question every day using this post as a duplicate target. Without such canonical posts SO would be a research nightmare.
  • Do you have a favorite contribution that you have written on one of the sites?

I wrote 2 posts (not wanting to) that are a beginner friendly ("fool-proof") guide to setting up your first Python-Sphinx project. This one using a simple layout and this one using a src layout. I wrote these because the internet is full of blog posts but none show all the necessary details clearly. Besides this question was asked every week (several times a week sometimes) without a good canonical answer. One day I lost patience and posted, afterwards the frequency with which this question gets asked slowly diminished as the posts increased in visibility.

I'm not satisfied with how the posts were written so I decided to carefully rewrite them when I reach 10k. I'll post 2 canonical questions and ask a mod to merge these answers under them. (Yes a good canonical can take lots of time and thought to mature and distill.)
